Yael Yael, who is an Australian who lives in New York City, played Lorna in Orange Is the New Black. Yael holds a master's qualification from NIDA. At a very young age, Yael has been lucky enough to work with the best storytellers in Australia, brilliant stars of the stage and visionaries behind the scenes in films, television and theatre. Yael leads a highly successful career in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael discovered her new location within New York City when the production was acclaimed on The Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). Yael co-founded The Cannery. Based in an Bushwick, Brooklyn studio, The Cannery promotes new writing, innovative creative projects and assists in the growth of writers in their teens.
